Visa Information

Uniform Schengen Visa (USV)

Uniform Schengen Visa (USV),valid for the territory of the Schengen Area, issued for short stays (type C). The maximum duration is 90 days in any 180-day period, calculated from the date of first entry. There may be one, two or multiple entries.

As a rule short stay visas issued by Italian missions abroad are valid for the entire Schengen region. Most EU countries, but not all, are part of Schengen, and some countries are part of Schengen but not part of the EU. For a map of Schengen countries please see this EU website about Schengen.

Where to Apply for an Italian Short-Stay Visa?

The Italian presence in each world country has regulated visa submission differently. As a result, you may have to apply at one of the following Italy diplomatic bodies in your country of residence:

  • The Italian Embassy

  • The Italian consulate

  • A Visa Application Center to which Italy has outsourced visa submission

  • The Embassy / Consulate of another Schengen country to which Italy has outsourced visa submission

How to Apply for an Italian Short-Stay Visa?

In order to complete the application process to obtain a short-stay visa to Italy, you must follow these steps:

  1. Find out where you need to apply for an Italy visa.

  2. Figure out which Italian visa type you need.

  3. Fulfil the application form for an Italian short-stay visa.

  4. Collect the required documents for an Italy visa.

  5. Appoint a visa interview with the Italian Embassy/Consulate or a visa application centre in your country of residence.

  6. Attend the interview.

  7. Wait for the processing of your Italian Schengen visa.

Processing time

The processing time for an Italian short-stay visa may take up to 15 days. Still, according to your specific situation, this period may be extended up to 30 days. Exceptional cases may take up to 60 days, since the Italian embassies may have to consult with other Schengen consulates.

To avoid any delay in the issuance of your Italian short-stay visa, you should submit your application as soon as possible, though no earlier than three months before you travel to Italy.

Invitation letters :

Official invitation by EuCAP2023 Conference Organisers

Visitors from non-Schengen countries must possess a passport valid for at least a three-month stay. To begin with the procedure, participants are advised to locate their respective diplomatic missions or embassy.

EurAAP, the official organiser of the EuCAP2023 conference, is pleased to send a letter of invitation to any conference delegate, speaker, exhibitor or visitor requesting it. 

Invitation Letter Type

 

  • Official invitation by EuCAP 2023 Conference Organisers (Free for Authors who have an accepted paper, via e-mail)

 

  • Official invitation by EuCAP 2023 Conference Organisers (20 Euro for Delegates, via e-mail)

 

  • Add original copy by ordinary mail (25 Euro, including delivery)

 

 

 

The filled Request Form must be sent to the email address registration@eucap2023.org

 

 

Papers Authors :

 

If you are an author of papers accepted for presentation and you applied for the free invitation letter for authors, the EuCAP2023 Registration team will verify the correctness of the Paper ID (s) you intend to present (max 2) and will send you a letter of invitation via e-mail.

​If you also requested the original invitation letter , it will be sent you by ordinary mail.

Delegates :

 

If you are not an author of papers accepted for presentation and you applied for the Delegate invitation letter,  you must be or have been a EurAAP Member and you must provide your EurAAP Membership number.  

If you don't remember the EurAAP Membership number, please write to membership@euraap.org

 

If you are not an EurAAP Member, register HERE and purchase your EurAAP Membership. The cost of the EurAAP membership is €45.

​The EuCAP2023 Registration team will verify the correctness of your EurAAP Membership number and will send you a letter of invitation via e-mail.

​If you also requested the original invitation letter, it will be sent you by ordinary mail.

Service Cost:

 

The cost of the invitation letter for non-Authors is €20.

 

If an original copy of the invitation letter is required there is a €25 administration and postage fee. 

Payment Method :

Payment of invitation letters for non-authors or original copies will be made onsite at EUCAP2023 before collecting the entry Bagde

Failure to pay this fee will not allow the delivery of the badge and therefore the entry to the conference.

Additional Information :

The letters of invitation will be sent by mail to the address indicated on the Request Form. If another address is required please send this information to registration@eucap2023.org

Conditions for obtaining an invitation letter are as follows: accepted paper or valid EurAAP Membership.
